Marilyn Manley (LA3541)
I have been in the massage therapy field since 2003. Since certifying nationally and being licensed in Louisiana, I've had the pleasure to work in a variety of massage establishments including spas, salons and a chiropractor’s office. Though my early days as a massage therapist really trained me to give a relaxing massage, the need for pain management and injury recovery massage therapy became more apparent. Through continued education and experience over the years I've found my passion is to help people live more enjoyable lives by helping them get rid of the pains and aches that have been holding them back. My education background includes Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue/Trigger Point Therapy, Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques, Sports Massage, Prenatal Massage, LaStone Massage, as well as massage for Fibromyalgia. In December of 2012, I opened the doors to Tranquility Massage. Many of my clients are people who have physically and mentally exhausting jobs such as service members, law enforcement, nurses, teachers, and people who are stuck staring at a computer screen or sitting in a vehicle for hours at a time. Many of my clients have had some sort of past physical trauma or injury that has led to their chronic pain issues. I've also had the joy of working with a lot of pregnant women who were looking for a little relief from the physical changes that they're experiencing. I believe that you can't enjoy life fully when you are in constant pain (and nobody wants to live on pain meds!), and I know that massage therapy can help in most cases.

Shay Shira (LA8089)
My name is Shay Shira. I grew up here in Leesville. I studied 9 months in Alexandria, La at Blue Cliff College for Massage Therapy. I learned the techniques of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Hot Stone, Shiatsu and Chair Massage. In November of 2016, I became certified in Pre-Natal Massage. I have been actively massaging Pre-Natal clients since November of 2016.
Swedish/Deep Tissue combination is what I specialize in; as well as headache and sinus massage. I’m very passionate about the work that I do, and I feel that it is a gift of mine to share with others. My ability to help individuals deal with pain is what makes Massage Therapy so awesome to me. To hear someone tell you that this one of the few times they stopped hurting as much, even if temporarily, is one of the greatest feelings in the world.
I’m looking forward to working with all our new clients, and getting to know you, while also expanding my knowledge of the varieties of Massage Therapy!
